3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ljunkan (521) - Drammen, NORWAY - JUL 17, 2009
UPDATED: OCT 14, 2009 On-tap at the brewpub. Pours a red-amber color with small, but nice, head leaving some lacing. Aroma is malty and caramely, with some notes of wild strawberries and spices. Flavour is quite sweet and caramel-malty with a nice berry-like flavours. Body is light, but the liquid is smooth and it feels fresh. I like it, but I can’t say I can pick up any ginger, it’s just very lightly spicy.

Dark amber colored beer witrh a light yellow brown head. Very creamy and full taste. Flavor: ginger I suppose as I don’t know how ginger tastes like. Anyway, not bad at all.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 omhper (15941) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 18, 2007
Draught at the brewpub. Hazy darkish amber, small head. Ligtly buttery and lemony. Medium sweet with somecranberry notes. The ginger flavour I cannot sense , instead there’s more of a berry flavour. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel and low bitterness. My least favourites if the four offerings at this brewpub.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DruncanVeasey (5129) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 2, 2007
At the brewpub. Reddish haze ringed with off-white froth. Strawberry jelly aroma. Watery berryish fruit with a trace of liquorice. Alledgedly contains ginger. Bit like a low alcohol diluted altbier. Really not sure where they’re going with this one......
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 larsga (4617) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 5, 2007
Medium offwhite head. Hazy amber body with carbonation. Sweet, faintly gingery, fruity aroma. Sweetish spicy caramelly gingery taste with peppery notes, quite harmonic. Very slightly watery. Dry watery caramelly aftertaste. A little too watery, but still good and highly drinkable. Very nice! (0.33l draft at CK Browar, Krakow, under the name CK Ingwer.)

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2006 [On draught at the brewpub in Kraków]
Hazy dark amber colour. Sweetness and ginger in aroma. Big on Co2. Ginger backbone in flavour. Finish is bit sourish. Not at all malty. Ginger ginger ginger. Why?
