3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 rickgordon (3764) - Göteborg, - AUG 14, 2006
[On draught at the brewpub at Podwale/Karmelicka, Kraków]
Hazy golden colour. Estery nose, with choriander. Sweet wheat beer this, with residual sugars. Big on Co2, little estery but not much. Pretty big body, alcohol is sensed. Pleasant weizen, but the phenols are missing.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 kwik-lime (654) - London, ENGLAND - JUN 4, 2011
Inoffensive wheat beer, pleasant fruitiness in the finish. Nothing to make it stand out but nothing much wrong with it either.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Beer3000 (3105) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 24, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Cloudy, pale yellow body with a white head. Aroma is spicy, yeast and lemon. Mild banana flavor with spicy yeast, some citric fruit and lemon. Drinking from this 3,3 liter tube the lemon flavor become stronger that less beer left back in the tube, realizing this is served with a quart lemon floating in the tube. Not the best weizen bier around but certainly not bad either, just a bit plain and straightforward. At least very refreshing.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 rlgk (5573) - Skövde, SWEDEN - AUG 13, 2009
Draught at the brewpub. Somewhat hazy pale yellow color. Weak malt aroma. Quite spicy aroma, some metal, some citrus.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ljunkan (521) - Drammen, NORWAY - JUL 17, 2009
UPDATED: OCT 14, 2009 On tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow color with a small, stable white head. Aroma is nice and spicy wheat-like with clove, citrus and orange. Flavour is likewise; spicy and really refreshing with a nice citrus-like acidity. Body is light, but really smooth. The slice of lemon felt a bit unnecessary though, but I took it away at once.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUN 29, 2009
Draught at the brewpub. Served with a slice of lemon. Good spicy aroma, hint of lemon. Cloudy yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is refreshing, lots of citrus. Slightly spicy and quite bitter. The bitterness gets a bit rough, like lemon peel or quinine.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 BartC (528) - Lichtaart, BELGIUM - JUN 3, 2009
Tap at the brewpub. Served with a small slice of lemon. Very clowdy with a blond head. Banana sweetness as aspected. Average.
1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 imdownthepub (7473) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 26, 2009
Keg at C.K Browar Brewpub, Krakow. Souplike cloudy orange with slight head and lemon segment. Banana sweetness, sugary and lemon fruity (or was that the slice?). Really not very good.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 saxo (8430) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - OCT 9, 2008
Tap at the brewpub. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma and taste are yeast, banana and fruits. Some citrus notes as well.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 18, 2007
Draught at the brewpub. Unfortunately served with a lemon slice. Cloudy dark yellow, creamy head. Even after removal the lemon aroma lingers and overpowers everything else. It’s a soft and edgeless wheat beer with nice malt profile. There are no esters, so it is not realy a hefeweizen. Instead wheat malt flavours takes it’s place. Well made, but lacking real character.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 DruncanVeasey (5146) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 2, 2007
UPDATED: NOV 4, 2007 At the brewpub. ’Easily the best beer in Poland.....’ reads my Warka Strong-addled scrawl, but I’ve since been educated. Murky headless haze decapitated by the lemon slice/ cigarette smoke/ pint glass treatment. Oaty crisp zest is Church (End)-like. Wheaty biscuit, orange rind, citrussy hops. Nothing like a Hefe or Wit, but a lovely tasting beer.
