This is a richly dignified and strong red ale. Amber, caramel, and roast malts were used in unison with a healthy dose of Northwest hops to produce a take-charge amber that is bold but not brassy. Salute to the Admiral!
Hops: Nugget, Crystal, Cascade, Sterling.

Advertised as an American Amber / Red Ale. Of the five beers I sampled, this was one of the lesser.

Somewhat hazy, reddish caramel color with a small head, but good retention and very nice lace. Citrusy hop aromas, supported by a strong caramel malt presence.. Flavor profile is similarly well-balanced, with toasted malts playing off the citrus and pine hops notes. Medium body, well-carbonated, and a clean finish.
