Clear dark brown black colour with a small to average, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, nutty, coffee, dark dark roasted. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dark roasted, light chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat.

50 cl bottle. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is mild butterish, roasted malty and breadish dark. Bitter, roasted and light chocolate to breadish. Bitter and sweet malty finish.

Cask@GBBF2011. Black colour, small head. Aroma is roasted malts, smoked wet wood, mild non-sweet syrupy notes as well as some mild toffeeish notes. Flavour is very similar with some mild freshly cut wooden notes and resin as well.

Pigs Ear. The Long Good Friday teamed up with ChrisO. Almost clear dark brown beer. Suddy dark tan head. Palate is light and semi dry. Sweetish milky malts, touch of roast. Off putting weird caramel. Dry finish. Messy!

Cask at Pigs Ear BF 2012, London. Pours black-brown with a fine, beige foam head. Burnt brown bread nose. Light sweet flavor, some earth, toasted dark bread, faint cocoa. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderate cocoa finish, light roasted malts. Good balance. Decent brew.
