Cask (GBBF2011, Friday)
Lovely milk chocolatey aroma. Rich roasty body, smooth and milky palaye. Gentle burntness, very tasty. Some gentle stale coffee in the finish. Anna thinks the finish is more chocolatey, but for me it’s milky coffee.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask conditioned handpump GBBF 2011. A black headless beer. A very dry smoky ashtray like aroma which like the taste is possibly overpoweringly dry. Ashy in the mouth too. Has good intentions but by far the dryest stout I think I’ve ever had, and it’s a struggle.

500 ml bottle. L3141. BB May/14. (K-Citymarket) Kouvola, Finland.
Dark reddish brown almost black colour with a small creamy tan head.
Roasted malt, mild coffee, sugary sweetness and lactose sweetness in the aroma.
The flavour is roasted malty with lots of coffee notes. Sweetness. Creamy. A bit watery. Too much coffee for me.
