COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle, regular
This Irish dry stout has been handcrafted using only the finest ingredients to create a beer, full of character and of true Irish pedigree just like that of the ’immortal black’ Master McGrath.
A traditional dry stout, combining rich roasted malts with hints of coffee and dark fruit, balanced carefully by the earthy hops - smooth on the palate with a lingering dry finish!

Lovely milk chocolatey aroma. Rich roasty body, smooth and milky palaye. Gentle burntness, very tasty. Some gentle stale coffee in the finish. Anna thinks the finish is more chocolatey, but for me it’s milky coffee.

Nice Nutty, chocolate malt aroma. Dark colour with thin head. Light in body, good flavour though with a decent coffee aftertaste. Stout is one of my favourite styles and this is quite a well made one.

A colablack beer with a medium and beige head, a typical appearance. The nose is strongly roasted, liquirice, also sweet bread and some chocolate, nice. Taste is roasted, but not burned, coffee, some chocolate, balanced and the taste is dried just in the end with slightly herbal notes. Almost medium bodied, that is nice and the body is strong enough, quite smooth. Very nice beer where the all pieces are in place.

The first stout for ages I really enjoyed. Bit thin with some black coffee, some malt and roasted grain. Sweetish moments and high drinkability. Wonderful.

Cask (handpump) at Great British Beer Festival, day 4 on 5 August 2011. Near black. Dry and smoky. Decent chocolate notes on the nose and palate with a little stewed coffee. Conspicuously accomplished and extremely satisfying. Mnouthfeel is maybe a touch light.
