Clear medium to dark red amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, nutty, caramel, berry notes, light to moderate hoppy, grass, dusty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111105]

Bottle. A crystal clear dark amber colored body is topped by a dense, off-white head. It’s malty on the nose, with a touch of dried fruits. Rather weak. The flavor is equally boring and uninteresting. It’s a beer that drinks easily, but I know for sure I couldn’t drink it all night due to its dullness. There’s some caramel and dried fruits, but they certainly didn’t use much hops in it. Booooring. 111105

Bottle @ Ulfborg, Early Winter Tasting, 2011. Pours amber with a small creamy white head and lacings. Sweet toffeee, caramel and fruit. Medium bodied. Pleasant.

Russet coloured beer with tan beige head. Alcoholic musty, dried fruits on the nose. Fairly dry with light carbonation, candy sugar, shortcake, custard with astringent yet sweet finish.

Bottle @ John Hewitt, Belfast. Deep red colour. Thick head. The aroma is of rich caramel. Deep earthy caramel, toast, biscuits. Full body - a rich and characterful example.
