COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Weavers Gold takes its name from the linen industry which was the main industry in the village of Waringstown and the surrounding areas up until the mid 20th Century. Waringstown was famous the world over for manufacturing fine Cambric and Damask Cloths. This refreshing blonde ale, strikes a perfect balance between the subtle sweetness of the malts; the wonderful zesty citrus aroma from the hops and the crisp, dry finish on the palate. An easy drinking beer to enjoy on its own or equally with fish & chicken dishes, great with spicy foods.

Bottled, from The Drink Store, Dublin. Clear deep golden, mid-sized head. Floral nose with viola and wet hay. Mid dry with dense, rounded mouthfeel and ligh tbody. Mildly buttery with low-medium bitterness. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle from The Vineyward, Ormeau Road, Belfast Burnished gold with pineapple and lychee on the nose, initial flurry of fruity hop activity and sweetness to be replaced by shortcake malt and abrupt finish with a brief spike of bitterness. Minimal carbonation and head soon disappeared.

Bottle, John Hewitt, Belfast. Sligthly hazy gold. Rather floral anglo-hop aroma. Bright, floral and a hint of tropical fruit. This is backed by a biscuity malt character. A bright, assertive example.

Bottle @ The John Hewitt. Pale gold and clear with a scant head. Aroma is clean but too sweet and sugary. Easy to drink. Flavors are good with juicy pomelo and pineapple.

500 ml bottle from the Grapevine in Belfast. Pours a clear golden color with a large white head. The aroma is sweet honey. some straw and funk. A nice flavor; loads of citrus upfront, some drier hone touched malts, earthy, funky and almost sour citrus in the finish. Very nice.
