3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from a can. Hazy gold with a big, foamy, white head. Lots of lacing. Citrus aroma with a little bit of spiciness. Maybe it's the rye. Light hoppiness in the taste. Some citrus. A little watery.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours an orange color. Spicy bitterness on the nose. Solid one two punch of rye and hops in this offering. Getting some pine and floral notes mingling with the rye spiciness.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at Eureka Burger in Claremont. Clear orange tea pour with sheets of complete lacing. Nose is butterscotch candy. Taste is the same with mild orange peel. Rich and sticky with a good dose all over of diacetyl but it isn’t offensive at all. Still drinkable, just not a bright IPA and can’t express any hoppiness.

Draft at the source. Aroma of lightly spiced brown bread and brown sugar. Taste is similar but with an astringent finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Taster from the brewery. Hazy golden pour with white head. Nice, hoppy, and dry. Some citrus coming through. Super fresh and better than the last batch I remember.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampler at the brewery. Pours a dark clear amber with a one finger off-white head. The nose is caramel malt, floral hops and light grapefruit. The taste is caramel malt, ripe citrus, light peppery spice and a nice resin finish that lingers for a bit. Medium semi-creamy mouthfeel. Nice serviceable IPA. I didn’t detect any diacetyl and was there the night before the rater below so not sure what he’s talking about. Great place to visit and the people and beer are top-notch.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
The pour is a hazed amber color with an off-white head. Some definite butter on the nose followed by citrus peel, mild pine, and bread. Additional sweetness of toffee and caramel on the aroma. A halfway decent amount of grapefruit, too. The flavor is also buttery. Decent orange and grapefruit hops, moderate bitterness from some pine notes as well. There is a fair amount of sweetness of caramel and toffee. The beer is really just ruined by the diacetyl.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This was my first Rye IPA. Aroma was solid with a lot of citrus and floral notes. Taste was crisp and very refreshing. I will be coming back for more Jacaranda!
