COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Jacaranda is the flagship beer of Claremont Craft Ales. This wonderfully balanced beer appeals to drinkers of all stripes thanks to the complex malt character of the rye. The copious amounts of Centennial hops balance perfectly with the spiciness and pepperiness of the rye malt. 6.7% ABV, 64 IBU, 11 SRM

Sampler at the brewery. Pours a dark clear amber with a one finger off-white head. The nose is caramel malt, floral hops and light grapefruit. The taste is caramel malt, ripe citrus, light peppery spice and a nice resin finish that lingers for a bit. Medium semi-creamy mouthfeel. Nice serviceable IPA. I didn’t detect any diacetyl and was there the night before the rater below so not sure what he’s talking about. Great place to visit and the people and beer are top-notch.

1 pint can. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruity and smooth peachy. Bitter, smooth fruity and lingering peachy to crisp hoppy. Dry and bitter finish.

Can @ America Strikes Back, Ulfborg. Pours hazy light amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of citrus and hops, with notes of grain. Bitter, hoppy flvour, with notes of citrus and grain, possibly rye. Touches of malt, especially in the finish, which is otherwise rather bitter. OK.

Poured from a can. Hazy gold with a big, foamy, white head. Lots of lacing. Citrus aroma with a little bit of spiciness. Maybe it's the rye. Light hoppiness in the taste. Some citrus. A little watery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours an orange color. Spicy bitterness on the nose. Solid one two punch of rye and hops in this offering. Getting some pine and floral notes mingling with the rye spiciness.

Tap at Eureka Burger in Claremont. Clear orange tea pour with sheets of complete lacing. Nose is butterscotch candy. Taste is the same with mild orange peel. Rich and sticky with a good dose all over of diacetyl but it isn’t offensive at all. Still drinkable, just not a bright IPA and can’t express any hoppiness.

Taster from the brewery. Hazy golden pour with white head. Nice, hoppy, and dry. Some citrus coming through. Super fresh and better than the last batch I remember.
