Our best bitter has a balanced aroma from three hops and four malt varieties. Weíve brewed without the stalwart of crystal malt to create a unique sharp bitterness which develops into a spicy bitter aftertaste.

Cask at the Bulls Head, Croydon. It pours clear amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is wood, earth, spice and hint of caramel. The taste is wood, leather, earth, some spice, decent bitterness, leaf and just a touch of caramel to balance it out with a long, dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Actually quite lively for cask. A much more accomplished brew than there other first offerings. Well balanced. Good stuff.

Cask at The Grape and Grain, Crystal Palace. Pours a dark amber colour with a slightly off-white head. Aroma hold a touch of sweat and malts. Medium body, mild carbonation. Bready, caramel maltiness initially, then some fruity notes kick in followed by a light grapefruit in the medium bitter finish. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not the best bitter Iíve ever tasted. Rather disappointed in actual fact. Had to water it down in a generous lemonade shandy. What a letdown!!
