Poured deep dark brown with a healthy tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, milk chocolate and liquorice. Medium, velvety smooth. Flavour much as the aroma, a bit of mild coffee as well.

Cask @ the new rose. Dark reddish brown. Bubbly cream head. No carbonation going on from the outside. Nice aroma. Roasty, malty coffee. Choc too. Nice and full with sweet coffee and chocolate and a touch of bitterness. Not complex but tasty enough. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask, gravity dispense. It pours deep brown with a small bubbly beige head. The nose is earth, light roasted malt, coffee grinds, liquorice and faint smoke. The taste is roasty, earth, wood, light spice, toast, cocoa, ash and a touch of alcohol with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body ans soft carbonation. Has a good bite to it. A well-rounded mild.

Cask conditioned handpump Harp London 30/04/13. A dark chestnut coloured beer with a whitish ring of head. A fruity mild. A bit of spoiling acidity in the nose but a nice lingering full flavour in the mouth. A bit oily of texture. A pleasant stronger mild.
