3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 SilkTork (4736) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, - AUG 18, 2003
UPDATED: APR 1, 2005 Aug, 2003: Cask, Crown & Thistle, Gravesend. Sulphur nose through which some citric hops attempt to emerge. Watery texture. The rotten eggs are in the the flavour dominating all other flavours - not that the sulphur is strong, just more apparant than anything else. Very pale lemon colour with an amber hue. As beer settles the body becomes firmer and sweeter. Mostly unpleasant. [1.7]
April, 2005:JDW, Rochester. Floweryt Saaz style hops and a tasty fruitty malt base. Sweet enough to be fun, with a gentle and juicy citric bite. Lovely. [3.4]
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - NOV 23, 2011
Tasted this in The Esquire House, Glasgow (JDW) in June 2007. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale gold in colour with a thin white head. Lemon zest in the short aroma. Thin but refreshing mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt base gives a citrus flavour of lemon and limes. Dry dusty hops give a short astringency to the aftertaste. Dryness builds up to the tart grapefruit peel finish. An ok summer session blond ale.

Cask@GBBF 2009.
Yellow color, small white head. Light hops in the nose, but also weird smokey notes. Slightly smoked, fruity malty beer. I suppose that I had a clean glass but ... maybe not then. Probably this beer for real is just another blonde with citrus and some sweetness.
