Cask, The Crown, Nuneaton. Shining red amber with a white rim. ’Intriguing’ rustic aroma with fruity hops, matchbox sulphur and an unexpected dollop of manure. Nowt wrong with that. Tangy orange-accented citrus, jellied fruit, marmalade hints, finishing nutty malts and biscuit, sulphur. Distinctive, farmyard fruity and good.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 fiulijn (12179) - Malmö, DENMARK - JAN 13, 2009
Cask Conditioned at J.D. Wetherspoon - Shakespear’s Head, London Hazy amber color. Talking of harvest, the bucolic trait of this beer is a grass and manure touch, both aroma and flavor. It has a sweetish malt flavor, very light fruitness, correct bitterness. Surely pleasant to drink (the sweetness), but not too complex.
