Aroma is moderate malty, light to moderate hoppy, lemon, chemical lemon, butter sour notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, and a dry finish. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090717]

Pours hazy pale golden with a small film head. Aroma has some butter, light citric hops and some grassy notes. Soft carbonation, a bit thin. Flavour has lots of butter, grainy sourish malts and some slight grassy hops. Poor.

Significant diacetyl aroma that’s sweet with apricot and white grape notes. Very nearly clear gold with a thin, white top. Flavour= diacetyl bomb with slight lemon hops and and a touch of sour malt. Light to medium body and mouth coating.

A Mes rate: cask at the Harlequin. Bright gold with a faint white collar. Strange marzipan and earth with some hints of builders putty. There is quite a lot going on actually, sadly, none of it is good. Nasty putty aftertaste that doesn’t want to fuck off. Hmm...
