Small frothy, white head over a slightly foggy, green tinted amber body. Weak hoppy notes in aroma. Larger amount of citric hops in flavour and satisfying bitter finish. Half pint on cask at The Gatehouse Highgate on a rainy day in London (30.04.2008).

Cask, handpump at the Woolpack, Banbury, Oxon 18-02-08 Golden in colour with some haze detected, strange aroma to this with what smells like cats piss in there, never mind. Putting tha aroma to one side this was actually ok, quite refreshing fruity and bitterness is alright, not as good as the barman was telling me it was and nowhere near as good as the Mild which I’d had before.

Cask conditioned at The Wooolpack, Banbury. Clouded Gold to Amber with slight head. Some strange carbonisation going on here, don’t know what that is about, thin and really quite understated. i would love to appreciate Clarks beers, but somehow they never hit the heights.

Svesse (4389) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - DEC 16, 2007
(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 1 Dec 2007) Reddish brown colour with brief, beige head. Fruity nose with notes of dark fruit, apricots and orange. Malty taste with dark fruit, figs, apricots, orange and hints of dusty hops in a fairly short and dry finish. Hardly exciting, but a decent bitter.

hughie (3992) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 15, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 14, 2008 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber. Faint malt aroma. Rather a dull, inconsequential taste features some malt and hops. Low bitterness. 14.7.08, Same location. Picked up a fruitiness in the aroma, somewhere between mandarin and cherry. Watery sugary taste, very little bitterness. Rated: 7,3,4,3,13:3.0

maeib (6632) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - APR 26, 2007
Cask conditioned - handpump - Squirrel Inn Rugby. A copper coloured beer with a whitish head. The aroma is pretty hoppy. The taste is a bit green at first and not the best, but it develops into a pretty decent beer with some citricity from the hops. A bit of an oddball, but drinkable.

StueyD (661) - Heacham, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, ENGLAND - FEB 16, 2007
A mid amber, brown coloured beer with a weak white head. A light, citrusy hop aroma. The taste is weak and watery, with a tiny hint of citrusy hop. A weak and dry finish. (Cask - The Ouse Amateur Sailing Club, King’s Lynn, Norfolk).

Cask conditioned & on handpump at The Alex in Derby on 03/03/05. Mid / dark brown bitter. Great balance, nicely bitter & very drinkable. Best of the night, good session Ale I reckon.
