Cask, Lord Keeper of the Great Seal, Oadby. Golden with an off-white head. Aromas are yeast and light sulphur with grapefruit, melon and some floral notes. Flavours are sweet biscuit malts with a light fruitiness. Dry on the finish. Decent.

Cask at Shakespeares Head, WC2. Yeasty nose, bitter and slightly lemony palate, dry bitter finish. Fairly typical (but tasty) hoppy summer ale.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol 3/11/09. Slightly hazy golden colour, with a tight white head. Hop, citrus fruit aorma with plenty of grapefruit and some sweet malts. Flavour had more of the same, with a hint of tropical fruit too and a long, dry finish. Good.

Handpulled cask at The Moon on the Mall (JDW). Pale straw with a thick white collar. Full of zesty bitterness but balanced by a delicate malty base. Very sessionable and refreshing. Very much an in the Ossett style.
