1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Appearance: clear golden liquis with frothy white head which dissapears fast. Aroma: hay, cooked vegetables, caramel. Taste: light sweetness, lightly bitter, dried peas, cardboard. Palate: light body, thin feel, soft carbonation, long cardboard finish. Awful, if you have to be sober then no beer is better than this beer

From bottle to pint glass. Aroma of massive corn, and slightly infected feet. Hard to get beyond the massive corn of this one. Pours a light golden-yellow with a suspended bubble aspect that is otherwise hazy with a white head that lingers as a collar. Taste is corn, corn and corn, some vegital DMS aspects that I cannot get through. Slight grass as it warmed. Moderate bitterness is nice, and moderately dry finish. Corn adds moderate mouthfeel.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle poured into a pint glass and shared by a pregnant friend at Mecklenburg Gardens. Pours a super light, translucent piss yellow-gold with a tiny white head that leaves just a small ring. This is very light all around, but still brings a pretty decent straw and crackery pils malt kind of flavor, with a bit of grass, as well. It must’ve been a pretty fresh bottle because it seemed devoid of Euro green bottle skunk. Light-bodied, with modest carbonation and a super clean mouthfeel. Not much to it, which is kind of the point, but there’s still enough flavor to make this better than most of its rivals.

2.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Aroma: heavy skunk. Nice pale gold color, with a light, quickly-disappearing head. At the first sip, I was surprised to find this tasted like real beer... not great beer, but beer nonetheless. Then came the cloyingly sweet aftertaste, which contrasted completely with my initial impression and seemed very unpleasant to me. As an accompaniment to pizza or strongly-flavored food, it’s OK. But after I’d finished all my Clausthalers, I found a two-year-old bottle of Cusqueña hidden in the back of my fridge, and (I shudder to admit) enjoyed drinking *that* a good deal more.

Whant can you say.... It’s a non alcoholic beer! If there is such a thing, it’s one of the better alcohol-free beers on the market. But due to the production process it simply lacks any kind of taste or aroma that a beer should have.

33 cl krog på avenyn tillsammans med Esbjörn. En afterrunbeer efter att ha klarat Göteborgsvarvet. Ger antagligen ölen för högt betyg men den var riktigt god just då.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This is always the sadest part when tasting and testing alcohol free beers… Generally you’ll get everything but a true beer taste but loads of flavour you don’t want to have. Not so this one. It’s the market leader in Germany for it’s style and there is a reason why. Sure, it’s somehow castrated and the body is far too light. But it tastes as a true beer with a descent hop note, a nice sparkle and a subtle malty sweetness. And it’s this last point that makes this one better than others. The hop takes the lead and makes it a refreshing summer beer, especially when driving.
Let’s be short: this is one of the few alcohol free bers worth being called "beer". It’s a good alternative when drinking alcohol is not an option. But if you can - take the real thing.
