Bottle from Billa, Prague. Cereal malt (I think), hop extract. Golden color. VERY REFRESHING!! The best non-alcoholic beer I’ve tasted so far (out of 3 :-D)

Pours straw yellow with white head. Grassy aroma. Flavour is rather nicely hopped and quite bitter. Very drinkable.

Bottle. A - Clear golden color with lots of bubbles rising up. Large sticky, foamy white head. Looks like the top of a bubble bath. Very good retention. S - Very light almost non-existent smell. A little grassy smell. Faint pale malt and bread scent too. T - Clean and crisp and light taste. Fair amount of grassy and herbal hops along with some bitterness. Minimal pale malt finish. Slight strange aftertaste, but that is mostly masked by hop bitterness. M - Light and crisp. Also thin and fairly watery (what you would expect). Fairly high carbonation. D - Well obviously ABV isn’t going to be a problem. Light crisp and easy to drink, flavor is a bit thin and has a slight strange aftertaste, but this is very minimal and most of the time the aftertaste is just a hop bitterness. Notes: I think this is the first non/low alcoholic beer I have had. Hearing stories and descriptions of others, I have to believe that this is toward the top if not the pinnacle of the style. In the world of all the beers, this isn’t special or great, but in the world of non-alcoholic beers this is great. So if you are looking for essentially beer flavored water that won’t get you drunk, here you go, and hey it probably has more beer taste than other beer flavored waters that will get you drunk (Macros). PS: Also I should note to anyone reading this, I try to review and rate beers both in an objective way (according to style) and subjective way (how the beer taste to me regardless of style). If I were to only rate using one system, the score would probably an A+ or a C-, respectively.

Erzengel (3554) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - OCT 27, 2013
Grobporiger, stabiler Schaum, süßlich-alkoholfreier Geruch. With high expectation after tasting the other low alc. this doesn’t disappoint me. very nice hoppy and grassy flavor an special bonus for low alc. for making it possible to enjoy a nice beer on lunch break. smooth and pleasant.

djoeye (1855) - Tromsø, NORWAY - AUG 9, 2014
UPDATED: SEP 14, 2014 Tall fluffy white head, fluffy lacings, pale golden clear body. Scents of malts, sweet malt, lemony hops, fresh grass. Taste; lemony hops, bread, pale malts, sweet lemon powder, modest wort. Easy. Clean. No bad tastes, about grain-less, and very fresh overall. Modest lemon-fresh bitterness. Wort in burp. Finish is short, semi-dry, quick white bread, lemon hints, and it’s gone. [33cl green btl . %abv° BB01.2015]

Smallish white coarse-laced head over clear, yellow body. Grainy, straw-like aroma with some noble hops. Light, clean taste with marked bitterness and carbonation throughout, ending in spicy driness. Milky mouthfeel. Excellent for a non-alcoholic, and better than many pilseners I’ve had.
