kidmartinek (707), austin, Texas, USA May 9, 2008 Pours light golden amber with a 1/4 inch head. Aroma of straw, hay, sugar, and corn. Tastes like a whole mess of corn sugar. Damn I think they put so much sugar in there to try to make up for the lack of alcohol. Overall pissed in cornflakes is the dominant flavor. A little fizzy mouthfeel. Nasty finish.
blipp (683), Grand Island, New York, USA Jul 29, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear amber with a fizzy white head. Aroma is sweet, with caramel, grain and hay. Light body. Flavor is again sweet, with caramel, grain, bread, and corn. Not awful, but a bit too sweet. bulletrain76 (531), Santa Cruz, California, USA Jun 30, 2008 12oz bottle. Brown color with a small head. Light malt aroma. Kida tastes like pre-hopped amber wort concentrate, but with less bitterness. A weird combo of unfermented malt flavors, tea and soda, with a light bitterness. Weird call to make on this one. It certainly doesn’t have any offensive flavors, but no one is going to mistake this for a real beer. I would never buy it as i really don’t see the point, but it was in the cooler at a friend’s party and i just couldn’t resist the temptation to see if it could hold its own. Better flavor than most macro pales at least. pepsican (667), the beer wastelands of, Iowa, USA May 27, 2008 Amber pour (surprise!) with a medium sized dirty white head. Grainy aroma. Flavor is cheerio style grain, a bit of floral something, cant quite pin that down or wrap my head around exactly what I am tasting. Some grass and water rounds it out. Finishes very watery. I can actually see why people would drink this as a decent alternative. obguthr (707), Poquoson, Virginia, USA May 16, 2008 Slightly feety, cedar, and lemon nose. Dingy amber, thin to medium vanishing head. Pine needle and grain flavor. Body less, but flavorful, and balanced. Clover finish. It’s a bit more expensive, but this is way better than other near beers.
