2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: MAR 30, 2004 Bottled Starts out kinda tasty as fizzy malt teas go. Pours amber under a thick head that looks slightly processed. A nice malty taste and, for once, a pleasing snootful of German hops. Then a strange barrage of off flavors and sugars sets in. It's nice that there's an NA beer that tries to make up for itself by adding some hops, but this still needs some work.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Clear Amber Color, Medium Head Does Not Last, Light Lacing. Sweet Skunky Aroma. Malty, Sweet, Skunky, with Bitter Finish. Medium Body. Not as Watery as other NAs. Drinkable. Once You Get past Initial Skunkiness, It is. Decent Enough For What It Is.

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Big frothy head. Crystal body almost rose-like. Nice aroma. Not really hoppy. But, it’s definitely not the syrupy malty flavor some alcohol-free brews have. Bitter flavor. Watery body. Bit of an odd flavor lingers on the palate. Not bad. However, I won’t necessarily be buying it again.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
A 12oz bottle best by two months ago. Nose is caramel, bread and hay/grass. Sip reinforces nose. Slight bitterness with less sweetness. Fairly good for the style. I’d have this again.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is a pretty decent non-alcoholic beer. It is a clear light amber color w/ a small head of fine bubbles. It is malt forward and maybe a little bit worty and unfinished but still quite tasty and drinkable. It is a bit sweet and more or less smells and tastes like GrapeNuts cereal so just like fresh malt. It is medium bodied and not too heavy w/ moderately vigorous carbonation. It finishes w/ a lingering nutty sweetness. This is not fooling anyone; it very definitely tastes like a non-alcoholic beer but it is rather tasty regardless.

Bottle, clear orange with no head, aroma brought cardboard, sour garbage, salt, hints of grainy malt, corn, very husky. Taste is a mix of corn, husks, lots of cardboard, garbage, acidic malt, finishing tart.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle @ Greg’s dump. Pours a golden orange appearance with an off white head. Moldy, corny, grain aroma with a bit of metal. Light body. Fairly metallic. Light caramel. Kind of gross.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
@ Party Town / Florence KY --- Aroma is appealing malt. Clear brown with a 2" head that drops to a cover, bits and pieces of lace. Seems pretty much like a brew. Taste betrays some of that, but I went in expecting much less. Begin with caramel malt, move it through the palate to a lightly carbonated finish. I can actually drink this (Miller/Bud low abvs I cannot). Not much, but if I’m the designated driver with cops all around, I could do worse.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
12 oz bottle from premiumnearbeer.com. Pours a clear amber colour with moderate-sized off-white head - nice looking for a low alcohol beer. Aroma is lightly skunky grains, grass and a whiff of sweet caramel. Flavour is metallic, skunky grains, vaguely caramelly sweetness and some modest grassiness. A cut above some low ABV offerings, but still pretty underwhelming.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Pours a dark amber color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of tea, caramel, mild skunk. The taste is sweet grainy malts, sticky caramel, grassy hops, mild skunk. Low carbonation, thin bodied. Not bad, actually.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pour from a 12oz bottle. Amber brew with off white head that soon fades. Aroma of light grain, something oddly metallic or mineralish, but not offensive. Taste is slight caramel at the start, some hints of molasses, an off bittering int he finish, reminds me of the bitter part of molasses. Not a favorite.
