Mirage52 (117), New Market, Maryland, USA Mar 23, 2006 From tap at BW&B in Mt. Airy. Glass was a nice golden color with a pillowy white head that stuck around for the entire time, and left some good coating on the glass. Smells slightly sweet, like powdered sugar. The taste is clean, smooth and somewhat watery, although the finish is creamy and refreshing. A very good light ale that easily trumps most any mass-produced ligter beer. The wife enjoyed it too. tugdriver7 (15), Maryland, USA May 9, 2005 Gorgeous golden color with a white, frothy foam head that lasted quite awhile and then laced the glass nicely. Perfectly balanced taste. Light, clear, crisp, with just the right amount of carbonation to be extremely refreshing. Very mild and pleasantly hopped aftertaste that leaves you wanting more. I picked it off the menu at BWB and have made it my favorite beer to have with their BBQ wings. Actually, it’s my favorite beer to have with anything they serve! Now if I could only buy it in bottles. Clay Pipe... are you listening? LordHedgehog (144), Westminster, Maryland, USA Oct 25, 2003 Although I prefer more heavily hopped ales, my wife does not. This ale serves as a wonderful compromise, and after tasting it at the brewery, I'm planning on purchasing a keg for my house. A balanced ale that no man could find fault with. hopscotch (4754), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Oct 22, 2003 Hazy, light golden ale.
Large, frothy white head. Excellent, thick, weepy lacework.
The nose is of citrus fruit, grapefruit peel and butterscotch.
Well-balanced, mild flavor with notes of butterscotch. Perfectly-bittered.
Light-bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel. Short, crisp, clean finish. Holdwine (844), Beertimore, Maryland, USA Oct 19, 2003 Decent blond ale. Yes, it does have a creamy malt character, but the hops "tingle" was missing from my glass. Nice looking beer with a cloudy white head.
