3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 guzzler67 (1393) - Hanover, USA - MAY 7, 2005
Hazy, orange appearance with a decent head and good lacing. Aroma was more spice than fruit. Nicely hopped taste that was not over the top with a good malt backbone. Some sweetness on the palate that lingered. Average carbonation. Medium-bodied with a long, slightly cloying, finish.

Thought this was okay, pleasant, good, nice, but nothing extraordinary. Nice label and also nice to have the pleasure of sampling a beer from a brewery that has had me curious since seeing the logo on my friend’s shirt after he made it back from Baltimore and brewers conference. Will hope to sample more when I head back to B’more in March (whilst on lege campaign).

Murky orange with a rocky head and good lacing. Big spicy pine nose with citrus notes. Pine bitterness with a fruity background. Medium body. Dry finish. Nice beer.

Bottle. I’m glad I live close to these guys. The aroma was slightly malty. The taste was quite sweet with a hint of citrus. Amazing finish and a nice warming sensation left in the mouth.

Thanks to scraff for the bottle! Pours a hazed amber. Small white head. Nose is very fruity and hoppy. Light citrus notes, piney hops, flowers, honey and raw sugar. Very nice! Taste is sweet but balanced by a nice hop profile. Citrus, more honey, flowers, hops, some bubblegummy notes, sugar, and light earthiness. Body is medium-full with moderate carbonation and a lingering light bitterness. Finsihes with more honeyish notes, hops, light wild flower notes, some hints of brown sugar and creamy maltiness. Nice beer!
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 hopscotch (7526) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - APR 4, 2005
Bottle... This beer rocks!... Clear, deeply golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. Terrific retention and excellent, thick, uniform lacing that grabs the glass, starting at the rim, and won’t let go. The aroma is fruity and floral with huge notes of wildflower honey. Big, malty, breadsy flavor up front. Pleasantly sweet. Moderately bitter, grassy hops on the backside. Full-bodied and oily with soft carbonation. The astringent finish is bitter and very drying. The bitterness slowly works it’s way to the back of the mouth and loiters for several minutes after each sip. Excellent brew!
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 scraff (2120) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAR 22, 2005
UPDATED: MAR 28, 2005 22 oz bottle - found only in Sanders Distributing counties. Light hazed golden, thin creamy white head. A unique aroma on this one as it warmed with big notes of spicy hop, florals, and butterscotch, with a underlying tone of earthiness and light grassiness. Flavor is similar with the spicy hop notes up front and sweet honeyed malt on the back end. Everything seemed to remain in perfect balance throughout. Medium to full bodied, medium carbonation, honey smooth, bitter-sweet, drying finish. Only 120 cases of this stuff was made so I recommend finding some soon. Great new brew from these guys. Hope they can continue down this creative road....
