COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer brings the word smoothness to new heights. Its light and clean while still maitaining that banana / clove essence that is essential to a hefeweissen. It ends a little tart, with a hint o lemon citrus that comes from the Hersbrucker hops.

Poured a cloudy, amber color with no head or lacing. Aroma full of spices, banana, and bubblegum. The taste was spices (mostly clove) and banana, and lots of yeast. This could have been something, if it came together just a little bit more. Why there was no head, I have no idea.

Cloudy yellow with a medium white head (very nice), ... and then it went downhill, faint aroma of banana and clove, flavor... well, i’m still searching for anything resembling a german hefe... it was quite bland, with a hint of citrus... very watery.

Nice! Pours a cloudy yellow with a mid-sized white head. Incredibly smooth. Tastes first of cloves, then of bananas. Aftertaste reminds me of banana fritters in honey. As I said, nice!

Pulled at the brewery (stop by for a tour!), this is a top-notch brew from a top-notch craft brewer. As another reviewer (negatively) mentioned, banana is the primary taste. Well, I like banana, and I like this beer.

(Kegged on June/30/03) I found this weizen too one dimensional in the flavor department. Banana was the only flavor to be found in this beer. Also, the beer was too sweet and nearly flat.

Very good domestic Bavarian-style hefeweisen. Big yeasty, wheaty, fruity nose. Attractive cloudy yellow color. Typical hefe taste, with the dominant clove and banana appeal from the yeast. Finished with a modest amount of hops showing through. Clean, refreshing aftertaste.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2007 I got this straight from the conditioning tanks. It’s a nice hazy golden color with a slight orange tint and a big pillowy head. The beer is a beautiful citrusy and fruity offering, and not overly yeasty. Outstanding.
