blindeyedbetty (88), Arlington, Virginia, USA Dec 31, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Aroma heavy of floral hops and barley. Appearance is a cinnamon-reddish color with plentiful internal carbonation. Head is fluffy off white. Flavor initially of grain moving to heavy hops and finishing with a nice malty aftertaste. Hoppier than I’d expected, though I’m not sure why. I think I’d rather drink this beer in the fall and pair with some of the heavier fall fare such as brats, sauerkraut and warm potato salad. It seems that the hoppy nature would offer a nice accompaniment.
