3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle; Copper, clear, minimal head; very fizzy when poured, sounded like a can of coke; although carbonation when drinking didnít seem unusual; pleasant soft aroma of dark fruits and (unexpectedly) cocoa; hopes were low - a random low strength Tesco purchase from an unheard of brewery, but this was pretty decent; initial burst of soft juicy citric flavours gives way to a reasonably hoppy, moderately bitter finish; that hint of chocolate reappears in the finish too (good!) alongside a slight metallic feel (bad!); overall I enjoyed it, certainly not the bland bitter I was expecting.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Canít quite get the measure of this one. Great ruby amber colour. Not too strong on flavour. Again I think it tastes like the local water. More malt than hops. Itís the aftertaste which is so interesting ... it lasts as a nutty hoppiness for ages afterwards.
