COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our bitterest beer for the more discerning drinker. Malty flavoured, dark in colour yet still thirst quenching and refreshing.

Cask conditioned Handpump Longstop Leicester. A reddy brown coloured beer with a tight white head and lacing. A bit of acetic in the nose. Quite fruity in the mouth. Cherry notes. Grainy malts. Probably on the turn judging by the nose.

Bottle conditioned. Ribena red with a slim beige cap. Aroma: lightly buttered berries with underlying coffee and lemon. Digestive biscuits dunked in milky coffee taste; hedgerow fruit, seawater, light coal. Biscuits and minerals, some restrained hoppy presence, blackcurrant and lemon. Drank this chilled in about 5 mins- typically a fairly reliable indicator of a beers..likeability. Decent, but if it’s their bitterest I’m not sure I want to taste the sweetest.

Bottle. Dark copper with a thin off-white head. Aromas are nutty with weetabix and spices. Some rye with smoky notes. Flavours are toffee and weetabix malts with dry hops. Metal with soda water. OK.
