3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from The Hop Pocket, Bishops Frome Sunday 7th July 2013 consumed at home whilst cooking a curry in the garden 12.07.13 Pours light silvery gold, nose is clearly appley but with a light lemonyness also. Initially I feel that this is bit thin but after a while I don’t mind it. Bit furry in mouth, its med dry but edging more towards a light juicy tangy dryer cider, refreshing, decent cider. 3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle from Ludlow Food Centre, sipped on the ferry to Dunkirk. The sweetness of sparkling apple juice contrasts with an astringency that tightens the taste in an interesting way. A cider with real character, colourful and tasty.
