Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Loads of beers shared with ChrisO and Harrisoni - Cheers! Clear gold beer, no real head. Light dry palate. Very sweet. Fruit salad sweet flavours going on with zero hop bitterness. Light dry finish. Over sweet and somewhat one dimensional.

Cask (gravity dispense). Beer #1 at Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival on 3 February 2011. Labelled as Salty Sea Dog on the barrel end but just as Sea Dog in the festival programme and on the brewery website. Golden colour. Not much head. Not much condition either. Rather spirituous volatile aroma. Quite strong hop presence on the palate. Lingering bitterness. Sweet edge. Clean, slightly oily mouthfeel with a touch of resin. Decent enough but didn’t quite hit the spot for me - possibly not in peak condition.

Cask gravity at Chelmsford Winter BF 2011. Peach and nail varnish on aroma no real condition. Old gold. Its a peachy strong English style IPA. Cant say I am overly keen. Bit sweet. No condition.
