6/26/10. Sampled from a growler at the Tally Tasting 2010 courtesy hopscotch. Sweet and malty with a bit of soapiness. The flavor is minerally, roasty, and more. It really reminds me of honey iced tea. A bit strange...

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Growler… Tally Tasting ‘10… Clear amber ale with no head. The bouquet is of black tea, caramel and tropical fruit. Medium to full-bodied with expired carbonation. Nice caramel sweetness is tempered by spicy, tannic bitterness. Crisp, moderately bitter finish. Thanks go out to jtclockwork for shipping this growler to the deep south for our little shin-dig!

Got this in the beer store in a growler. Very nice amber with a small head. The aroma is malty, earthy, quite rich. A hint of alcohol in there. The flavor is very much like a beer of old. Good malt sweetness and a dry finish. Nice after taste lingers for a while.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Barcade. Pours a coppery gold with white head. Nose is yeasty, bready, light EKG notes & bread. On taste, carbonation is soft and nice. Very bready taste to it with light hop character. Pretty decent, albeit standard. Okay.

(Old BA rate - growler)
Poured with a decent white head that didn’t last too long. Somewhat hazy golden deep orange color. Bit of a fruit aroma, with some citrus hoppiness. Not a whole lot to detect here, and very subtle. Solid hop bitterness, and dry maltiness. A bit of dried fruit in the taste. Thinner MF, and decent carbonation. Bone dry finish. Very drinkable with some good solid ESB qualities, and definitely the dry finish demands another

Growler. Copper hue, slightly hazy, nice white head and lovely carbonation. Nose of dough, ripe fruit with hints of piny hops. Medium, smooth body. Bready malt, ripe fruit and earthy hops are nicely balanced on the palate. Long, earthy finish. Nice session beer.
