Appearance: movie theater butter, with a short, vanishing head. Aroma: light malty grains, some herbal and grassy hops. Taste: medium grains against herbal and piney hops, hint of grassy funk. Finish: light and crisp, with a lingering slight bitterness from the hops. Notes: While the bitter notes keep the mouth fresh, the overall palate is smooth. I prefer this with salty food.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 dmac (2509) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - AUG 15, 2010
Growler purchased at EZ Liquors. Poured a hazy orangey gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma has an initial blast of syrupy sweetness followed by notes of grains, grass, cereal and nutts. Far fuller bodied then I was expecting with an almost syrupy mouthfeel very soft carbonation. Flavor of nutts, grains, cereal and earth. Not bad but I was actually expecting a little bit more from this one since it’s one of Climax’s higher rated beers.

Half gallon Growler, split with my wife. Poured a rich golden yellow with a fluffy white head. Grassy, malty aroma with a slight floral note, it has a light to medium body and a full smooth mouthfeel, and a well rounded flavor profile. Rich, but refreshing.

A growler. Golden, slightly hazy brew, large white head and strong carbonation. Aroma of grassy hops balanced by biscuit malt. Some off notes of dough and apple cider. Flavors are similar. Light, soft body. Long, dry, hoppy finish. Despite on some off notes this is a nice summer brew.
