3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tiggmtl (4475) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 10, 2004
UPDATED: NOV 25, 2005 Rerate (5-3-7-3-12=3.0): Caramel, toffee and butterscotch are strong in the aroma but balanced out by orange, spicey, resiny, pine-spruce hops. Clear amber-copper coloured body with a low off white head that recedes to ring. Strong spruce-pine, resinous, orange hop flavour is balanced by caramel and toasted malts. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Sampled on tap at Barcade with Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere.
Original rating discarded as it may have been an issue with the growler (4-3-3-3-7=2.0): Mild cascade hop nose. Orange-brown with yellow-brown head that recedes to ring. Sweet malt and grapefruit hop flavour with solventy phenolic undertones. Medium body. Growler at Mondial 2004.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20 CapFlu (3798) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 9, 2004
(Bottle) Mondial de la Bière 2004. Thin, yellow head with an orange body. Highly carbonated. Mild cascade hops round out the flavour of this unimaginative beverage. Oh, and I cannot forget the modelling glue finish.

Orangey amber with a solid head. Good hoppy aroma, with a pleasant bitterness and fair bit of humulin in the back ened.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 ruffian (149) - montvale, New Jersey, USA - APR 9, 2004
Brewery filled growler that was sold at liquor store. I think it had been on the shelf for a litle while. Orange hue, almost no carbonation. Leads me to believe that it was not filled under pressure. Some citrus like hop aroma. Caramel malt aroma. Vegatables and sweet malt taste, no where enough hop bitterness. Just not good.
My suggestion would be to stay away from a growler if you didn't witness the filling process.
