Growler thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a large white head over a slightly hazy orange-golden body. Aroma of fruits, caramel, vanilla, melon and citrus. Also light bazooka bubblegum. Floral and tea like. Flavors of raisins, figs, caramel, some bitterness and tobacco. An IPA? Doesn’t taste like one. Not really that tasty at all. Slightly metallic finish. Medium bubbles. Not super dry. Pretty sweet actually.

Pours a caramel color. Smell is hops, floral. Taste is hoppy, bitter, pine, no real balance to speak of. Overall a mediocre beer.

Deep amber coloured body with a hint of a brown tint and a two centimetre tall tan head - more of an ESB look than an IPA to me. Aroma of light earthy malt, some subtle hops, yeast, wort and a touch of nuts, not too much exciting at play here. Medium-bodied; Some mild earthy and floral hops thrown in with some subtle malts, a touch of sugar and a little caramel flavour. Aftertaste doesn’t show much either with a little hint of citrus and grapefruit, some more earthy malt and not much hops at all. Overall, a pretty poor IPA, not even a good APA - just a slightly more malty and citric amber ale, if that - not worth searching out. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 16-February-2012 for US$10.99 for a 6 pack, sampled at home in Washington on 23-April-2012.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazed deep copper orange color with a slight collared white head. Caramel in the nose along with some minimal hop fruit aromas. Medium mouthfeel, a bit watery. Not very good taste. SOme hop bitterness and almost like a roast, burnt note as well. Glad this was just an extra as it is not very enjoyable.

Bottle. Hazy brown color, smal bright white head. Aroma of pine and caramel. Taste is bitter pine. Could be better balanced, but overall not bad.

Don’t know if I bought a bogus 6pack but every bottle is over-carbonated can hardly pour without overflow. Aroma is slightly piney and some light citrus also little bit of malt. Flavor is slightly bitter. Body is way to fizzy and mouth feel is weak. . Have to try again from another store
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 acearl (285) - The Ham, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 12, 2012
Dark orange hue, creamy white foamy head, didn't get much from the smell except maybe some model airplane glue. Light medium body It's okay but definitely something weird about it

Tap at BP Old Towne. Hazy deep amber-tan. Foamy beige/off-white head. Sort of odd. Some apple tones among the caramel and specialty malt richness. Almost a touch of Rye. A little off, but drinkable.
2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 r464 (1113) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 3, 2012
Coppery color with a huge foamy off white head that overpowers. Earthy, herb like flavor that holds a floral hoppiness. Taste of vegetables (in a bad way) such as broccoli, beans, cabbage. A rather mediocre IPA.

12 oz bottle (thanks Samp01). Pours amber with an off-white, thick, long lasting head. Aroma is of citrus hops and grain. Full, crisp body. Citrus hops, grain and bready malt fill the mouth. Long, hoppy finish. Many of Climax beers have this grainy taste. And if it is proper in their Helles, and somewhat proper in their Oktoberfest there is too much of the taste in this brew.
