Not a good beer. Bad aftertaste. The one good thing it had going for it was a great frothy head.

Strange, almost tastes of pickle juice. A bit of malt, some hops, and a salty sourness that if very much out of place. Not sure if I got a bad one or if there is a tone to it that I just don’t agree with.

Split a growler with a buddy while watching Temple Football in the Super New Mexico Bowl. Dark brown ale, medium body, with fruit, roasted malts, chocolate and light bitterness. The aroma was green hop. I don’t know if it was Temple dominating over Wyoming or I had a really good batch from Climax; I enjoyed this beer tremendously.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear reddish brown with a large tan head with good lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, brown sugar, some sweet nutty aroma and light fruity tones. Taste is sweet toasted caramel malt, some hazelnut, cacao with some hops. Palate is medium to full body, with a creamy, thick and kind of sticky mouth feel. Finish is sweet caramel malts a bit of cacao flavor with some nice hazelnut and ending with a nice nutty aftertaste with some nice hops balance. Overall a nice brew.

Cask at TJ’s: Aroma of malt, chocolate, Earth, leaves, light nuts, and some raisins. Poured deep amber/brown in color with a small creamy, tan head that lasted throughout. Hazy. Sparkling. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of malt, nuts, chocolate, water, Earth, and a hint of hops. Medium body. Thin, watery, then dry texture. Cask carbonation. Malt, nut, chocolate finish is dry.

bottle... ugly dark brown, just have an off hue, big light tan head, food retention, no lace... weak nose, a bit of chalk with a pinch of molasses... tastes chalky as well with a bit of roast, not good enough to try

Draft. Pours deep brown with a beige head. Nutty and roasty aroma with a light sweetness. The flavor has nutty chestnut like sweetness, light roasted malts, and a hint of caramel. Pretty good.
