Draft at Ginger man. Pours a nice dark. Nice sweetness. Caramel etc. Pretty decent stuff.

Growler from Shoreline Beverage. Pours a clear amber with no head. Aroma of bread, sweet malt, and light fruits (raisins?). Flavor of bread, caramel malt, light fruits, and stale wheat malt that is typical of Oktoberfests. Faint sweetness. It’s a pretty good oktoberfest, although admittedly this isn’t really my style.

10 oz. "growler." Aroma of dank hops and cinnamon-raisin bready malt. Flavor follows right on cue. This is sort of like Ayinger’s version except not as extremely dank and earthy...yet I really like it...which might result in me liking the Ayinger more than I originally did...which is irrelevant to this rating...perhaps I’m finally learning Oktoberfests! Whoo!

Tap at Barcade. Nice deep amber beer topped by a thick beige head. Aroma is nicely malty with a soft toasted malty aroma. Flavour is quite sweet with a chewy toffee/caramel quality. It’s pretty sweet and has a lightly greasy/slick mouthfeel that I don’t really care for. It’s not really bad but maybe it’s still a bit too early for O-fests.

From a growler from Lou18. Thanks Lou! Pours a hazy amber with a big, fluffy off-white head. Nose is very interesting with a lot going on--very vinous, with some apple skins, and a whole lot of malts. Flavor is equally heavy on the malts but this tastes a lot cleaner than most marzens I have had and also less watered down. Easy drinking and refreshing.

A very good example of an oktoberfest beer. Not like the lame versions that are coming out of Germany now. A nice big malty backbone without being cloying.

Philly Craft Beer Festival. Small plastic sample cup. Clear brown with a light white head. Sourish lacto malts. Hints of tobacco and brown sugar. Moderate hops. Light carb, medium light. Good O-Fest.

Draught @ Drafting Room, Exton: Sweet aroma with a lot of floral hops. Also some light caramel malts. Poured a deep amber color with a small, off-white head that lasted. Good lacing. Clear. Flavor was malty and moderatly sweet, but well balanced with some floral hops. Tastes a little bit like Cheerios cereal. A little earthy yeast too. Chalky finish was a bit bitter. Light to medium body. Soft carbonation. Overall, pretty good, and well balanced.
