Cask @ Barcade: Deep brown, near black with a tan head. Smoky roasted aroma. Fairly clean with a charred malt note. Very light on the palate; over attenuated. Some smoky flavors, but their brief with a touch of roast. Restrained and over attenuated.

growler from Whole Foods Bowery. Nice notes of roastiness in the aroma. pours dark brown with good head. Wonderful smokey flavor, a really nice balance of roastiness and smoke. A nice all around porter.

cask at barcade - Reddish brown pour with white head. sweet caramel malts, smoked body roasty, toffee, pine and meadow grasses. Light carbonation. Tasty.

Draft. Pours a black body with an off white head. Smokey dank tones, budge, and brownie notes. Thin chocolate tones, with a dry bitter wooden tone. Chewy with a nutter butter like finish. Interesting enough.

Dark brown with a tan head that laces nicely. Aroma is very smoky and oaky, not much else. Smooth, dry, and woody. Campfire finish. Not bad, easy drinking.

Cask at Barcade. Pours a coal brownish black with a thinning off beige head. Aroma is dry crackers, toast, light burnt notes, campfire smokiness, slight smoked meats, biscuit, light nutty chocolate. Flavor is a bit weak, no full malt, not big chocolate to back up the weak body, which allows too much harsh dull drying oxidized smoke character to come through- leather and earth with some woody campfire. Finish is weak and watered down. Not a fan.
