50cl fliptop from BKL’15 München - SO, danke! Pours like a hazy, soggy, baker’s malt Keller/hefe/saison crossover. Nose is an interesting blend of those as well: a saison-like pollen-grass and white pepper is sprinkled over the Hefe cloves and faint peach-banana compote, fragrant pale malts protruding from underneath. Falls off a bit in taste, but still offers enough to keep the palate guessing where this Timisoaran Hefe has landed in terms of more Western-European style categories: spelty rich in wheaty almond malt character, good white pepper bite and gentle cloves. Light, young and fresh green mouthfeel - Easy to drink a whole bottle. An overall pleasant welcome from Romania to my stats...

Bitter hefig hopfiger Antrunk, etwas trocken. Rund, vollmundig aber trocken. Mild bitterer Mittelteil, leicht wässrig. 11/8/9/9/9/9

Pours hazy pale yellow with a big white head. Quite strong aroma, mainly of wheat. Also bananas, spices and some sourness. Flavor is intense in the begining then it ends sudenlly. Quite dry, a bit soapy and it lacks the body I would have expected.

This is a fairly nice attempt of a weizen beer. It lacks the body, its highly carbonated and the palate is missing. The nose is heavy, I expected more flavour, more body. Overall a small dissapointment.

BOTTLE 50CL from ciocanelu. Thanks, Silviu! BB 27.06.2014. Look: cloudy golden with a giant white head. Aroma: some vinegar out of the bottle (goes away soon), banana, wheat tartness, some bretty acidity, unpleasantly yeasty. Taste: very prickly carbonation, string wheat/lactic acidity, some fruit, light astringent and bitter finish.

Shows promise, but the bottle was definitely infected.

Pours a very hazy, pale golden color, topped with massive white head and quite decent retention. Lots of bubbles within. The aroma is relatively strong - some sour and wheaty aroma along with some spices. The taste is creamy and bittery, finishing with a substantial spice feel - a bittery spice, what is it called, wormwood. But nicely drinkable with decent taste.

The beer is highly carbonated. The beginning is nice and smooth, typical Weizen aroma like clove and banana. In the mainpart there is a moderate bitterness and a very nice yeasty banana-clove smoothness. In the aftertaste long and nice fruity. Not too sweet. Beside the carbonation easy to drink.
Very nice Hefeweizen - especially for Romania. Smooth and very typical! I like it! --> 13/12/13/13

The best thing about it is that it’s completely natural: no preservatives, no excessive industrialization. Clean, simple and local as it’s made in a micro-brewery.
