jsquire (1863), St. Marys, Ohio, USA Aug 31, 2008 My sister brought this from Baltimore, and had to explain the label for me. Deep golden color with a thin, off-white head. Sweet, grainy nose. Lots of buscuity malts and caramel sweetness. Full flavored beer with some lemon/lime citrus that ended in a grassy hop note. Easy drinking beer and very nice with a sandwich. merlin48 (349), Henderson, Kentucky, USA Aug 29, 2008 Bottle has label as pictured. Pours a cloudy orange amber body with an average offwhite head that leaves ome patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted caramel and spicy hops. Light medium body is well carbonated. Taste has some peppery and spicy hop bitterness that balances well with the caramel maltiness. Slightly above average for the style. MrBunn (849), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 21, 2008 Bottle. Labeled as simply Clipper City MärzHon... (no Balto) but I couldnt find any more information on it so I’m posting here. Pour is a amber and the head has died to almost nothing while I tried tofigure out whether there was a difference between the two labels. Aromas are sweet bread dough, honey and a touch of pepper or clove spiciness. Flavor is kind of thin but the peppery edge is fairly pronounced up front, transitioning to sweet and doughy malts. This is fairly decent as a thin and refreshing Märzen. craftycarl21 (194), South Hero, Vermont, USA Aug 16, 2008 pours a light amber with a smallish head. Aroma holds hops, grass, and some sweet notes. Flavor has some bitterness, and continues the hop and grass theme. Watery palate, but very drinkable and does still have some flavor to it. Decent brew. oteyj (332), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA Aug 16, 2008 Pours clear yellowish amber with one finger head. Nose is of straw, grain, and some sweet malt. Flavor is slightly astringent, with some sweet notes of malt and slight grassy hops. Palate is watery with a crisp finish.
