Bottle from winning FFL. Aroma had a sweet candy to it along with some bread notes. Dark red body with off white head that disapated ratherquickly. Had more of candy sweetness to it anlong with some thick lacker that was like cough syrup going down the hatch. Good sipping brew and cool bottle. 2011 should of aged this one might of been better

Bottle. Pours dark mahogany with very little head. Aroma is fruity with a hint of raisins. Flavor is a mix of fruity sweetness and a hard to define bitterness. Mouthfeel is thin but adequate. A metallic alcohol finish ruins the experience of this one. Would not recommend.

Pours deep amber to brown with almost no head. Pretty straightforward barleywine with a caramel/toffee being the biggest flavor. A touch of alchohol. Nice mouthfeel, but not very complex.

2010 vintage...Decent, but for me to like a barleywine it needs to have a very complex palate and this one really didn’t. This leaves it strong and sweet and not much else. Tastes fine, but I want more out of a barleywine.

’08 Vintage Pours golden brown with a hint of head, this almost looks like port in the glass. Smell Toffee, cherry, chocolate and vanilla. Taste: Toffee, buttery, chocolate, the hops are very muted and a touch of booze. Mouthfeel is medium and this finishes buttery and smooth.
’09 Vintage Much of the same more booze and the hops are more noticeable.

Ruddy peach-brown with a fading tan topper. Aroma of toffee, nuts, dark pitted fruits, figs, dark malt mad a bit of alcohol. Taste is dark and malt with dark fruit, tannins, toffee, chocolate. Smooth with a mild burn. Not Bad.
