sloth (1511), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA Jul 9, 2008 12oz bottle: 07 vintage. Thin gray head that fades quickly, lacing is spotty and stringy, minimal. Clear, dark amber in color. Nose is light sweet malts, caramel, some grain along with some fruity notes, plum, over ripe pear and maybe a whisp of hops, sorta earthy. Body is med/full, coating on the palate, oily. Medium sweet caramel flavors along with some toasty notes, more plum and some raisin and a touch of licorice. Finish is lightly sweet, caramelly with a balanced hop bite. A nice BW just sorta drab.

Nice hop bitterness that quickly fades to a sweet malt goodness. A little alcohol at the swallow. Lingering molasses flavor at the end. It has a sweet smell of fruits and malts, and tastes of dark fruit and a large amount of alcohol that is just wonderful! Flavor is sweet fruit and a little bit of hops and a dry finish. General_Gao (2480), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Aug 17, 2008 12oz bottle. Poured a clear ruddy brown color. The head was thick, creamy, and tan with good retention. Nice aroma of brown sugar accented by pear, apple, and cinnamon. Medium to full bodied and sweet. The flavor profile included the likes of brown sugar, pear, spices, and a bit of tobacco. A hint of alcohol came out at the end, but was fairly well hidden.
