Nice play on words. Friendly, rather sweet aroma. Very strong taste impact of alky and alky. Color of dark iced tea. Pretty difficult to swallow at times for a lager lover. Finish is cough medicine but in an almost good way. Nothing near the refined attitudes you get from real belgie dubbels.

Jul 1, 2008 Bright reddish-brown. Plummy aroma with sour cherries, chocolate. Fruity and sweet, some bubblegum, light spice. Some orange. Some nice nuances but too sweet.

Jun 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours cloudy amber/brown, with a medium beige head, and good retention. Aroma is dark fruits and yeast: plum, raisin, coriander, candy sugar. Flavor is similar. Nice yeast/malt balance. Not the best of style, but palatable, and tasty.

Jun 17, 2008 The aroma is like figs, raisins, yeast, and brown sugar. The appearance is amber with a nice head. The flavor is biter and like the aroma but not entirely pleasant. The palate is average for the style. Overall not one I would buy again.
