Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small tight lasting head. Aroma was nice light smell of malt, some dark fruit, a little doughy, and a hint of caramel. Taste was rather bland though, no hints of the dark fruits but heavy on the malt. Medium to full body with a bit of tangyness from the alcohol. Not bad I just wish the taste would have been a little closer to the smell.

Jul 1, 2008 Bright reddish-brown. Plummy aroma with sour cherries, chocolate. Fruity and sweet, some bubblegum, light spice. Some orange. Some nice nuances but too sweet.

Jun 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours cloudy amber/brown, with a medium beige head, and good retention. Aroma is dark fruits and yeast: plum, raisin, coriander, candy sugar. Flavor is similar. Nice yeast/malt balance. Not the best of style, but palatable, and tasty.

Jun 17, 2008 The aroma is like figs, raisins, yeast, and brown sugar. The appearance is amber with a nice head. The flavor is biter and like the aroma but not entirely pleasant. The palate is average for the style. Overall not one I would buy again.
