Nov 18, 2009 12 oz. bottle recieved in trade from Daknole- thanks! Served in shaker- poured a transparent light copper color, low carbonation, thin white ring around the glass for a head. Aroima of light citrus and pine (hops), along with a shade of caramel. Hits the mouth with medium body, malt has been slightly sweetened, hops come in the middle, finish has a cloying effect with the hops as an underlying force. Interesting and good brew.

Nov 14, 2009 This was a great beer, but it wasn’t as bitter as it could be. Wonderfully floral and complex flavor. Satisfying and drinkable. I want to buy more of these and try pairing it with different foods.

Nov 13, 2009 It’s my go to beer. It’s wonderfully hoppy but not too bitter. There’s a nice it of malt and sometimes I swear there’s some vanilla in there. Last year I had the pleasure of drinking some from a batch with an extra pound in the dry hop and the grassy hop flavor was stupendous. Anyone who loves hops must try this beer.

Nov 8, 2009 Received a 12-oz bottle via trade with kmweaver. Pours a semi-clear dark amber brew with a thin off-white head that has some good retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malt and citrus/piney zest, some white pepper and a touch of pine. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with a bitter taste of caramel malt, grapefruit and more citrus zest. Finish is bitter with more citrus aftertaste than any caramel malt, So far, one of the best brews from Clipper City I’ve tried.

Nov 6, 2009 Nice golden brown color. Aroma is of hops, hops, and more hops! Taste is of big time hops. Has a nice hoppy bite with a little citrus aftertaste. Good stuff.

Oct 27, 2009 Pours a light, clear gold from the 12oz. bottle: Amped up hops pair with generous grapefruit citrus flavors and a touch of pine. Juniper berries, too. Satisfyingly sweet from start to finish and then some. Drinkability: A wonderful, tasty, thirst quencher. Rebuy: Again and again. #165 on 27102009, DG.

Oct 25, 2009 nice pale gold amber color. Smells immediately of hops but there is a slight sweetness there too. Slight citrus as well. Nice light flavor in the initial taste and then nice bitterness and grapefruit peel in the finish. Long flavor there. Nice and easy to drink.

Oct 24, 2009 Clear orange pour with barely any head. Perfumy hop aroma. Flavor is decently hoppy but decidedly thin on the malt. Mouthfeel is thinish, but not annoyingly so. I’m thinking this beer is like that girl you lust after for years and then finally get her, only to find out she kind of has bad breath.
