Aroma: Muted malt sugars and some spicy hops. Taste: A rather malty IPA. Not very hop heavy compared to the recipe. An ok brew, nothing to brag about.

The nose is a strong citrus aroma. The body is medium and the mouthfeel smooth, slick, and delightful. The flavor mirrors the nose with lots of good citrus and a hint of pine. Long, lingering bitter finish. This is a top-flight IPA. Sweet & hoppy floral-smelling aroma with fruit-blossom bordering on lilac scent. Taste is initially semi-sweet caramel malt, but flavor segues quickly into a white-peppery spiciness. Aftertaste is a garden-fresh, hoppy combination of white pepper, green pepper, and grapefruit. Aftertaste stuck with me for 5 minutes after leaving the bar. Somewhat lighter than average body for an IPA. This beer is very well put-together, and has a beautifully complex taste. I’m not a huge IPA fan normally, but this one is a winner! markwise (1216), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA

Pours yellow-orange with a small, white head. Nose is citrus like crazy: orange, tangerine, almost pineapple with caramel and honey, too. Flavor is the same with lots of great citrus character. Light to medium body with lingering sweetness. brigg (217), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Wonderfully fruity and floral hop aroma that is sweet and clean. Hop flavor of grass and citrus with some toffee or caramelized sugar notes. Body is nice - medium to full. Bright and refreshing up front and a very bitter finish. Satisfying thirst quencher, but plenty enjoyable besides that. arrogantb (734), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2010 This beer reminded me of Bristol Edge City IPA in almost every way. The color was a light orange with a white, loosely bubbled head. The smell was sweet and a little floral. The taste was also sweet and no hop bitterness to be found. The drinkability was good as the alcohol was well hidden. I did feel the alcohol after the pint was gone. I am now interested to try Clipper City’s other offerings.

Hoppy and refreshing nice surprise from a place that doesn’t have great selection. I really liked it despite being very hungover. douglas88 (1686), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
