3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 savitska (163) - Smyrna, USA - AUG 13, 2006
A true beer for hop-heads, I’ve seen this beer described as a Double IPA and from the aroma and dryness, I’d agree.
I LOVE the floral aroma, but the bottled appearance - it was supposed to be bottle-conditioned - left something to be desired.
Still, if you like (love) hops, find a six-pack and clear your afternoon schedule.

Pours a decent copper with a thin cream colored head. Pine and grapefruit nose, but too subtle and lacking in bitterness on the tongue for a 98 rating imho. Decent dry finish.

12 oz bottle - clear orange. Scents of citrus. Strawberry under tones. I’d like a little more malt, but overall a nice beer.

This is my absolute favorite beer of all time. I bought it on a lark because of the comical name/label, and quickly realized I had stumbled into a treasure. A solid punch of hops is followed by an intracate symphony of citrus and spices, to create one of the best beer drinking experiences money can buy. If you like IPA’s and compex tastes, this one is a must-try.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 williamherbert (1039) - Syracuse, New York, USA - JAN 16, 2012
The aroma is orange peel/citrus hops with prickly pale malts. There is a sweet aroma, with a touch of tangy tangerine. Somewhat grassy.
The appearance is a thick, cloudy and glowing carrot-orange. Excellent lacing.
Flavor is tangerine hops, hint of orange rind. Roasted malts, akin to mild rye. Really beautifully balanced, not too hop-heavy.
The feel is chewy and slick. A little fizz. This is one of my go-to IPAs. Great marriage of English ales and American hops. A smooth English ale, well-hopped.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 TATE (120) - Lubec, Maine, USA - JAN 16, 2012
Bottle. Aroma is grapefruit. This is an average IPA in my opinion. I got a bit of sourness in the taste.

Bottle. Nicely lasting head and lacing. Strong aroma of grapefruit, pine, pith. It’s a bit catty. Fairly sweet with a strong toffee malt element. Palate is full and a little soapy with a long bitter finish. Very nice hop bomb.

Bottle pour. Amber color with medium white head; good lacing. Aroma is citrus hops, pine, and orange peel. Flavor is citrus hops with some sweet malt notes. Light body with medium carbonation. Finish is smooth with a slightly bitter, floral hops taste.
