tbookman (618), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 24, 2007 Dark brown color - very slightly translucent - thin beige head. Armoa of dark fruits, molasses and a slight hint of sulfur. Flavor is fairly clean and rich, with touches of raisin, brown sugar and roasted malt. Body is fairly creamy and smooth with just a bit on an alcoholic bite. Not a world class Imperial, but quite drinkable.
Imaena (240), Portland, Maine, USA Aug 27, 2008 12oz bottle at Puals 08’. Roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and damp earth. Nice mouth feel and body. Nice Imp. stout for the price point. We both enjoyed this one. buzzoven (116), Japan Aug 26, 2008 Hint of cherry, plum, chocolate on the nose. Low carbonation and a unique mouthfeel...not too heavy and not too oily, but well balanced. Finish emphasized roasted malty bitterness and a left a dry feeling on the tongue. Showed some interesting potential for future complexity and introduced more of it’s characteristics as it warmed up. Nice Imperial Stout...nothing earth shattering, but a good effort all around. emerica56 (454), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Aug 25, 2008 It pours a dark brown color with a thick head that fades a litle but still last through out the duration of the beer. The nose is very robust and full of roasted malt with chocolate and hints of black coffee. The flavor is not bad although it is a bit watery it still has some complexity with a nice bitter cocoa and roasted coffee. Overall it is not a bad beer for the price and you can get it just about any where. jake65 (1238), Meridian, Idaho, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bottle: Dark brown pour with a smaller tan head. Nose is sweet, chocolatey, and roasted malt. Flavor is roasty into a bittersweet cocoa. Some coffee. Dry, lingering bittersweetness. Kind of had a porter feel to it, but still enjoyable. Thanks Jeremy. BuckeyeBoy (1129), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 24, 2008 Bottle Pours out a black with some brown topped with a light tan head. Aroma of bitter coffee and chocolate. Tast of malts the coffee and some sweetness.
