GirlyBeer (178), Biddeford, Maine, USA Apr 19, 2008 Pours what you would expect for an "uber-pils", gold with a white head. Not a particularly pleasing aroma. I had high hopes for this beer, when I picked up a six pack someone at the beer store told me their friends highly recommended that beer. This beer had an odd flavor that forced me to give away most of my six pack. I’m not sure what type of beer they were going for, but it was just unenjoyable. I will not buy this beer again.
Damico (54), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 4, 2009 This tastes exactly as they describe it - an uber pilsener. It has a smooth booziness with on top of that heavy, clear pilsener crisp. hoplover406 (185), Crofton, Maryland, USA Jan 1, 2009 Drank straight from the bottle so I will have to re-reate at some point. I will say that it was enjoyable. Malty taste and smooth finish. I’ve said before that I’m biased towards Clipper City because they are local, but this is a solid effort worth trying. wheelz843 (137), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Dec 31, 2008 bottle. pours a clear light yellow with no head. has an aroma of apples and oranges. has a very citrus flavor with a warm apple aftertaste. not nearly as bitter as i expected. brewski519 (77), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA Dec 17, 2008 On tap this beers pours an orange color with a thin head. Lacing lingered around the mouth of the glass. Very citrusy, hoppy, floral aroma. Taste was almost along the lines of an IPA due to the hops that dominated - but not so much that citrus was overwhelmed. A pretty decent beer that I would certainly drink again. brentfeesh (1000), Gadsden, Alabama, USA Dec 15, 2008 12oz bottle. Provided by mwelsh13. Golden onion pour with a little head. Fresh grain aroma with just a bit of alcohol. A solid flavor profile. Not overly sweet like some of these brews can get. Fresh grain and hay flavors with a well balanced malt sweetness combined with a does of earthy ops. Medium body and semi-dry finish rounds out the initial sticky mouth feel. A good effort.
