2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 dreadnord (133) - Castel Volturno, ITALY - JAN 23, 2012
pours light copper with minimal head. Nose is caramel malts and light hops. Nothing crazy. Taste is sweet, more sweet than a pale should be, it’s needs more hops to add better balance. Palate is smooth yet crisp. Aftertaste isn’t to long.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 badwhale (222) - Bitterville, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 31, 2011
Pours a copper color with a sparse white head. Smells of malt, and doesn’t have much hop bite to it. Maybe a little citrus, and a malty aftertaste. Not the best pale ale.

The body is medium, crisp. Taste is biscuit malt, citrus fruit and earthy hops. Long, earthy finish. Nice, session brew.

12oz bottle from Premier Gourmet. Clear amber with an average fizzy/foamy off-white head. Average aroma, really - vaguely floral, some citrus, no alcohol. Taste follows - decent, unmemorable. Light body, mild carbonation, quick finish - not BAD, just .... dull.

Harris Teeter, DC sixer ($8): Pours a copper color with a small white head. Aroma is earthy and malty. Taste is way more on the malty side. Hops take second whistle. Like others have noted, this beer has a pretty British character to it. Very drinkable and sessionable. Mild aftertaste from the British hops. Slight bitterness.
