A Ruby-hued Irish red ale with a blend of 5 different imported malts. Toasted flavors with hints of toffee and chocolate are balanced by a strong hop presence from American and British specialty hops.

En fût au Clocktower. Couleur ambrée, claire. Arôme de malt caramel. En bouche, houblon, malt, caramel. Finale avec un peu d’amertume, florale. Très bonne.

On tap at the bank street location. Very nice Irish ale. Well carbonated. Nice hop taste. Almost my favorite of their offerings

At the Clarence Street brewpub location in ByWard Market - draught pint. Looks the part - deep refractive red with a decent frothy beige head. Dry infensely leafy aroma with light toasty grain malt background - pretty solid, but decidedly not ’west coast.’. Taste follows, some resin and alcohol - nicely balanced. Average body, mild. carbonation and astringency, only a medium-length bitter finish - easy to drink in quantity.

Had the cask-conditionned, unfiltered version of this brew at the pub. Floral aroma with sweet notes. Cloudy orange-red body had some sediment with thin off-white head. The perfuminess in the aroma was also present in the flavor with hints of lime, apple, hops and roasted barley malt. Mouthfeel was quite creamy but lacked effervescence near the end. Good brew, this time the soapy "bite" present in other CT beers wasn’t present and I enjoyed it very much with my mussels.

Draught. Cask Condition. Poured reddish orange and somewhat cloudy with virtually no head due to the lack of carbination. Nice floral amoras with a sweet creamy malt taste but didn’t have much of a lasting afterteaste. Still overall a very nice choice, although consistency could be a problem between batches.

Filtered - Fruity red plum smell with a sweet malt and rasberry element. Smells great. Redish brown with a thin lacy white head. Smooth light thin body with a soft carbonation. Ruby flowery taste. Nut, light bitter roast adn a slight sour finish. Rich Malt roast. Alright but I got board of it.

Has a very faint barley aroma. Body is a modest dark-copper-brown with little head. Flavour is great rust-like body with a hoppy-ish finish; it reminds you of walking into your favourite pub for a pint, tired after a long day (or a long flight from the arctic, but I digress) and filled with hints of caramel and barley. It’s a very good beer, and there I am, turn that page.

Originally rated February 2006. Pours a deep copper colour with nice lacing. The nose is very light, with hints of malt and caramel. The taste is floral with grain malt. Nice dry bitterness in the finish, and dry mouthfeel. Great tasting brew that is awesome for session... and with the onion rings I had that night.

2009-11-17. Red amber body with a modest beige head and lace. 3+ Flavour is sweet caramel accented by toasty malt. Takes on a bit of mild roast character as it goes on. 6+ Aroma of mild toasty roasty malt is brown ale like. 6+ Average plus palate. Okay. On tap at the brewpub
