A reddish brown porter with a thin light moka head. In aroma, sweet caramel, light nuttyness, some off notes. In mouth, a light herbal caramel malt with off flavors, burned toasts, light and watery. On tap at brewpub, Dec 1 2009.

Meh. On tap at the Bank St. location. Nothing at all to write home to about. Caramel notes that seem to be from fake syrupy stuff, maybe some light coffee. Very light and watery in the mouth.

(Rating #3426)

Draught. Pours a very deep copper brown with a good off-white head. Aromas of roasted malts and caramel toffee. Taste is very smooth, the caramel offsets any bitterness from the malts while there is a hint of dark chocolate in the background. Very drinkable to the average non-beer drinker, too bad it’s a seasonal beer only.
